About the ACP-CD4CDM Project

Project brochure

The ACP-CD4CDM Project aimed at enabling the targeted ACP countries to fully participate in the carbon market.

The ACP-CDM Project had a duration of 4 years (March 2010 to February 2013) and was implemented by the UNEP DTU Partnership, based in Denmark.

The activities implemented within the Project developed and facilitated knowledge in the target ACP countries that should enable them to fully participate in the global carbon market. The goal at the end of the Project is that these countries are able to identify, design, approve, finance, implement and monitor CDM projects that both address their sustainable development priorities and offer cost-effective options for carbon credit buyers to comply with obligations under the Kyoto Protocol.

Activities implemented by UDP emphasized the development of a national CDM portfolio of projects that could be marketed in international carbon events (such as Carbon Expo) and posted on the webiste of each country's Designated National Authority (DNA).
